Praise God in his sanctuary;  praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute
praise him with the clash of cymbals, y  praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything z  that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.

PSALM 150

Kabwe Chapel Praise Team (Fountain of Praise)

The main Praise and Worship team at Kabwe Chapel has been since the early 90s. Before then there was only a pianist (usually an expatriate missionary) leading the congregation in classic hymns. Fountain of Praise brought contemporary music to the congregation blended in the local culture (Zambian) flavour. The Zambian praise songs in particular are quite rhthmical, hence the "dance for the Lord" liberty.

Of course the full compliment of Praise and Worship ensamble included the band (guitars, keyboards, drums and PA system) and worship leaders and choirs.

This team has seen members come and go but we could say that succeeding worshippers improved upon their predecessors' standards or lets say each team was relevant to its generation.

At our main Worship Services on Sunday morning (and Evening services) you can join in the “set my spirit free ” atmosphere. The team of singers and musicians here are not entertainers – they mean business with their God and the congregants are not spectators! During the 40 minutes allocated to Praise and Worship, it is as if no one is willing to let the Lord "raise a stone" in their place to worship Him! Some are loud, others are quiet, some dance and others standstill but all are joyful and in agreement to show that “one greater than the music” is in their midst.

If you are the kind that is liberated to apply contemporary gospel music in Praise and Worship without reservations, you will be at home and will want to come again. The Bible says that God inhabits in the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3). In other words, God “dwells” in the atmosphere of His praise. This means that praise is not merely a reaction from coming into His presence - Praise is a vehicle of faith which brings us into the presence and power of God! Praise and worship is the “gate-pass” which allows us to enter the sacredness of His glory. The psalmist writes, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name” (Psalms 100:4). This corresponds with Jesus’ teaching, that His presence will inhabit the gathering of believers who congregate in His name: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). A “gathering in His name” means that Jesus must be the focus, the centre of the assemblage. He must be the one preached about, sung about — the one praised and worshiped. “I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee” (Hebrews 2:12).

D’vine Sly-daz Biography

D’vine Sly-daz are a team of young Christian artists that have chosen to use their God given talents and gifts as a means to reach out to their generation and the generations to come. The team comprises mainly of seasoned dancers who are based in Kabwe town (Zambia) at Rock of Hope Assemblies, Kabwe Chapel Church.

The Name D’vine Sly-daz is derived from the bible book of John15:4 which says, “Abide in me and I in you as a branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine (Jesus), neither can you unless you abide in me”, Thus the phrase D’vine (The Vine). So we want to do exactly that, to dwell in Jesus (the vine), bear fruit and raise his name so the world may look up to him and believe in him.

The group is an all sort dance group, but specifically centers more identity in the Hip-hop music genre & culture, because we believe, that is where the mainstream of our generation is and therefore will be a good base for our ministry.
The current Strategy and Activities put in place for the well being of the group are as follows:

Creating a Godly and Holy environment for members at heart to express their gifts and therefore abstaining them from worldly vises like; drugs, alcohol, sex (Pre-marital) and other non-profitable activities the youths of Zambia participate in.
Setting a high standard and level of quality in choreography making them masters in their art, bringing them to a level competence.
Nurturing & grooming members in a Sound doctrine by enabling them with a platform to express their leadership qualities in various areas, having fun and enjoying themselves in Christ.
Doing out-door ministry, Dancing & Showcasing at events/shows, institutions e.g. colleges, schools, churches.
Partnering & creating relations with other established Gospel dance groups such as The Crucifix (Lsk), Ex-otation (Lsk) , S.L.I.C.E (Lsk), The Radical Saints (Kbw), Alliance 3:14 (Lsk) etc and therefore expanding our knowledge on effective dance ministry.

- The group has rehearsals every Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays (16:00hrs) in the Kabwe Chapel Youth Hall & meets for open sharing’s on Sunday’s (10:30hrs) in which non-members are also welcome…
- For bookings to any of your events, parties, concerts simply e-mail management on silondwamalekazi@yahoo.com or you can inform us on our Facebook group wall, or better yet contact management on 0976905405/ 096 for a much quicker response.

Despite our small achievements and endless efforts, we are still at a verge of establishing ourselves. So any form of support/sponsorship would be of great value to us.
